Events in Ukraine had convinced Russia the need to strengthen the bill on 'Foreign Agents' in Media. Sometimes media does threaten the power and legitimacy of the countries, which is the reason why some countries bound to limit the media freedom. Authorities claim that media agencies in Russia and Ukraine are practically provoking a civil war. The research was conducted with the end view of informing about the regulations activated on journalists and bloggers, and its significance. This paper made use of descriptive research that involved the synthesis of information from secondary sources to portray the attributes of a current phenomenon. Secondary data analyses were conducted briefly by analyzing the significance of the media in a socio-political context and what curbing of it can do.
