The ties that relate India to the GCC countries cover several areas of interest for both sides. The relationship is not recent, but it is constantly taking new levels of importance. Changes in the global order made India an important market for Gulf products, and increased the strategic cooperation between them. The relationship between the GCC region and India has been oscillating with international geopolitics, just as the Indian-Iranian relationship.
