Outlook on China's New Family Planning Policy

China's family planning policy was implemented in 1980 to control the increasing population by restricting most urban couples to one child and most rural couples to two children, if the first child born was a girl. In 2013, China eases their family planning policy allowing another child to be born in families with a parent that is an only child. This short report describes the old family planning policy and looks into the possible outcomes of the new one.
