This paper describes the Muslim struggle in Chechnya. It forms a section of a larger document entitled, Understanding the Context of Muslim-Related Conflict/ Violencein the Global Stage, whichis intended to provide information to enlighten both Muslim and non-Muslim readership on transnational issues involving Muslims around the world.

The first part lays down the intention of this paper. The second part constitutes the findings that include a descriptive overview of the geo-political context of the conflict, the birth of radical Muslims in Chechnya, the Chechen conflict, and an analysis and discussion of findings. The last part is a generalization of the findings to conclude the paper.
